Hewlett-Packard and Vasont Systems present principles for
effective collaboration for successful content management
Emigsville, PA, March 17, 2008 — Vasont Systems,
a leading provider of content management software and data
services, and their client, Hewlett-Packard, adapt Robert
Fulgum’s popular credo of fundamentals from his best-selling
book in their presentation, “All I Really Need to Know
About Successful Content Management I Learned in Kindergarten.”
This presentation will be delivered by Charlotte Robidoux
of Hewlett-Packard and Suzanne Mescan of Vasont Systems at
3:00 pm on April 7, 2008 at the Content
Management Strategies/DITA North America conference in
Santa Clara, CA.
Successful content management depends on effective collaboration
amongst an organization’s team members. This session
provides practical ways to build positive team interaction
across your organization. Learn about key principles needed
to engage your staff and maintain a strategic edge when implementing
content reuse. Topics covered include team member involvement,
training, executing processes, commitment, and momentum.
Managers will learn methods and receive guidelines to understand
how to get their team excited and involved in the organization’s
content management initiative.
Charlotte Robidoux leads HP teams in implementing single-sourcing
for the HP StorageWorks Division. She designs, develops, and
manages strategies for content reuse and content management
system implementation. Charlotte is a recipient of The Center
for Information-Development Management "Rare Bird"
award for the development of a project tracking database.
She frequently gives presentations at industry conferences
on the subject of content management.
Charlotte has 17 years of experience in technical communication.
She began her career in technical communications as a consultant
for Washington, DC., firms holding contracts with the Department
of Defense, Department of the Navy, Environmental Protection
Agency, and others. Charlotte earned a BA in English from
Holy Cross, an MA in writing from Georgetown University, and
a Ph.D. in rhetoric and technical communication from The Catholic
University of America.
Suzanne Mescan is Vasont Systems’ Vice President of
Marketing, with responsibility for the Company’s overall
marketing and public relations efforts. She worked for more
than 20 years in all aspects of the information management
and publishing industry, including content management, editorial,
art and design, project management, production, printing and
binding. In 1989, she developed Progressive Publishing Alternatives
to help publishers with project management, editorial, and
design work, which she managed for 12 years. Prior to that,
Suzanne was a Marketing Analyst for Advanta, a financial services
firm, where she was responsible for product planning, advertising
and promotion.
Suzanne has authored numerous articles about content management
for industry publications and has delivered presentations
for the Content Management Strategies conference, Philadelphia
XML Users Group, Vasont Users’ Group, and in numerous
industry webinars. She earned a BS in Marketing from The Pennsylvania
State University.
