Bernard Aschwanden, Director of Technology and Publishing
Architecture with Bright Path Solutions, is a recognized publishing
technologies expert. He is an Adobe Certified Expert, a Certified
Technical Trainer and the author of numerous articles on XML-based
publishing and single sourcing. He presents at conferences
and events across Europe and North America. A dynamic and
entertaining speaker, he tailors his presentations to the
audience and welcomes participation.
In addition to his publishing background and speaking tours,
he teaches a variety of classes for Bright Path Solutions.
Courses include XML / DITA and related technologies, best
practices for structured authoring and content management
as well as tools such as FrameMaker and XMetaL. Bernard is
a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication,
the President of the Toronto STC and Past President of the
Computer Trainers Network. Bernard has helped hundreds of
companies implement successful unstructured and DITA/XML-based
publishing solutions.
Suzanne is Vasont Systems’ Vice President of Marketing,
with responsibility for the Company’s overall marketing
and public relations efforts. She worked for more than 20
years in all aspects of the information management and publishing
industry, including content management, editorial, art and
design, project management, production, printing and binding.
In 1989, she developed Progressive Publishing Alternatives
to help publishers with project management, editorial, and
design work, which she managed for 12 years. Prior to that,
Suzanne was a Marketing Analyst for Advanta, a financial services
firm, where she was responsible for product planning, advertising
and promotion.
Suzanne has authored numerous articles about content management
for industry publications and has delivered presentations
for the Content Management Strategies conference, Philadelphia
XML Users Group, Vasont Users’ Group, and in numerous
industry webinars. She earned a BS in Marketing from The Pennsylvania
State University.
