Project Management Gets a Boost in the Vasont® Content Management System
Top provider of XML content management solutions releases Vasont® ST 2.4
EMIGSVILLE, PA - June 25, 2012 - Vasont Systems continues to enhance their top component content management system (CCMS) with the release of its next interim version, Vasont® ST 2.4, that enables users to store multilingual content once for maximum reuse and deliver it to multiple media channels. Enhancements in this release focus on project management and system administration improvements. Vasont ST 2.4 is available on June 25, 2012 for both the perpetual license and SaaS (software as a service) content management system models.
To help managers monitor projects more effectively, the Vasont CMS's project management feature now includes notifications when projects are estimated to run behind schedule, giving managers advanced notice of potential scheduling issues so they can be resolved before they adversely affect product launches and costs. The new Project Tasks Description Report provides managers with detailed information about workflow projects to monitor and improve the organization's processes. This report can also be used to provide a set of procedural instructions for users. In addition, the new Map Asset Report provides a summary of all assets used within a map for tracking content modules, quality-checking content prior to publishing, and improving content reuse in both DITA and non-DITA CMS environments.
In addition to project managers, Vasont CMS system administrators also benefit from upgrades in release ST 2.4. Expanded user privileges give system administrators more flexibility to maintain user profiles and preferences within the Vasont CMS software. System administrators can also amend content configurations more quickly using new batch capabilities to update metadata.
Designed to improve productivity and dynamic publishing, the Vasont CMS makes it easy for organizations to manage their multilingual technical documentation and business information. The system's comprehensive single-source functionality stores content once, ensuring accuracy and increasing the efficiency of repurposing content to multiple media formats while managing the workflow and the overall business process of creating and publishing content.
