Vasont Systems is the Featured Speaker at the Society for Technical Communications Northeast Ohio Chapter Meeting

Presentation educates technical writers about component content management systems and related roles

EMIGSVILLE, PA — March 24, 2014 — Suzanne Mescan of Vasont Systems, a TransPerfect Company that provides component content management system (CCMS) software, is the featured speaker at the Society for Technical Communication’s Northeast Ohio Chapter Meeting on April 10, 2014. The meeting will be held at the Akron General Health & Wellness Center (Fairlawn) in Akron, OH. She will present, “How a Component Content Management System Can Help Technical Writers.”

Suzanne will provide an introduction to the technology that is becoming a critical tool for technical communications in many organizations: a component content management system. The presentation is intended for technical writers and communications managers, specifically those who do not have knowledge about CCMSs or are just beginning to implement a CCMS, who may be cautious of technologies that go beyond word processors. Attendees will learn the basics of how a CCMS works and how it benefits a technical writer. She will also talk about how a CCMS can expand a technical writer’s career path and provide new job opportunities.

“Using a content management system revolutionizes writing, just like other major innovations, such as moving from typesetting to desktop publishing and moving from print-only deliverables to online help,” said Suzanne Mescan. “The field of technical communications is in the midst of a paradigm shift. This presentation will give technical writers a good overview of what component content management is all about.”
