Vasont® Content Management System Supports Newly Released Adobe® FrameMaker® 11

Writers can use FrameMaker® 11 as their XML editor while managing content in the Vasont® Content Management System

EMIGSVILLE, PA - August 27, 2012 - Vasont Systems, a top provider of component content management system (CMS) software, today announced that their Vasont Universal Integrator (VUI) extension supports the latest release of Adobe® FrameMaker® software. The VUI is a software extension of the Vasont CMS, a content management system that enables organizations to store their multilingual content once for maximum reuse and delivery to multiple media channels. Using the VUI, Vasont CMS users are able to write and edit XML content in FrameMaker 11 while accessing the Vasont CMS through a toolbar menu option.

"We are excited and pleased that the Vasont CMS is leading the way in providing integrated capabilities to take full advantage of the FrameMaker 11 capabilities," said Tom Aldous, Director of Global TechComm Business Development and Product Evangelism for Adobe. "The Vasont CMS continues to provide value to the Adobe user community."

FrameMaker 11 software is an authoring and publishing solution with one of the lowest transition costs and highest ROI for migration to XML. Its new XML Code View allows users to natively author structured content that can then be stored and managed in the Vasont CMS through its VUI integration. Using the VUI, writers can get their editorial assignments from the Vasont CMS's workflow and then access the database to reuse XML content, graphics and multimedia, all through a simple menu in the FrameMaker toolbar.

"The FrameMaker-Vasont integration is unique in that these tools can manage both unstructured and structured content," said Suzanne Mescan, Vice President of Marketing for Vasont Systems. "For organizations that are moving to XML, they can use FrameMaker and the Vasont CMS before, during, and after the conversion process, saving the expense of buying new tools once the conversion to XML is underway."
