Vasont Systems Delivers Release ST 2.2 of the Vasont CMS
XML CMS offers enhancements for more effective modular and component-level multilingual content management
EMIGSVILLE, PA - November 30, 2011 - Vasont Systems today announced the release of the next interim version of their XML content management system (CMS), Vasont® ST 2.2, which enables users to store multilingual content once for maximum reuse and deliver it to multiple media channels. This release refines the CMS's modular content and translation management environments. Vasont ST 2.2 is available on November 28, 2011 for both the perpetual license and SaaS (software as a service) content management system models.
Vasont ST 2.2 includes advances in the following areas:
Translation management improvements: The Vasont CMS's translation management package now provides more sophisticated component-level translation management capabilities for searching and previewing multilingual content, maximum translation reuse and cost savings, more efficient content processing, and accurate tracking, analysis and reporting of translation costs and savings.
Modular content enhancements: To better control and coordinate simultaneous releases of information, modular branching is now available in the Vasont CMS to give users more flexibility when creating new versions of content. In addition, the new Metadata Report provides critical information regarding the attribute usage throughout modular content that can prevent publishing incomplete or unapproved content.
Electronic signatures: Electronic signatures are available in the Vasont CMS to record approval or certification that requirements for specific content or tasks are met. This feature is especially useful in regulated industries to provide the witness needed to prove certification.
Integration refinements for XML editors: The Vasont Universal Integrator (VUI) has been improved for JustSystems' XMetaL and PTC's Arbortext Editor with easier image preview and selection capabilities for inclusion in XML documents.
Designed to improve productivity and control costs, the Vasont CMS makes it easy for organizations to manage their multilingual technical documentation and business information. The system's comprehensive single-source functionality stores content once, ensuring accuracy and increasing the efficiency of repurposing content to multiple media formats while managing the workflow and the overall business process of creating and publishing content.
